I am in full summer swing as I am planning final touches to speaking camps, Camp Padre and missions trips. We had a great spring speaking many "Game Day Challenge" school assemblies. In late April we had a comeback rally after a "Game Day Challenge" in Peaster TX.. Many students returned for the evening service and the power of God fell. Many students came forward for salvation and wanting a "life change" for Christ.
We followed up the month, with more Game Day Challenges with Waxahachie Preparatory School, Advantage Academy and my hometown, Jacksboro High School, Jr, High and 5th grade. Jacksboro came just after I returned from leading the SAGU girl's basketball team from a mission trip to Monterrey, MX. earlier this month. Just as I landed at the airport and began traveling to the schools, I received a call from the SAGU crew of athletes that was transporting my trailer. The call was bad news. The driver's truck transmission broke and they were stranded. We made a detour to Azle to rescue them and get to the "Game Day" assembly. I later received more bad news that the repair was going to cost $1,250.00. Why does bad news often come after great victories? The enemy didn't like that fact that hundreds of students were being reached. He will do all he can to interfere with God' plans. His work is useless. God always has better plans. He always comes through and the victory is won. Though I now have the responsibility of paying a $1,250.00 repair bill for this young man's truck, I know God is faithful and he will supply the need. Just last month I requested funds for the completion to finish the purchase of a sound system for our upcoming mission trips. Now I am in more need as I need to pay this repair for this college student's truck. Please pray that the necessary funds to repair this truck will come in. If you can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.
The other day as we were diving in the car, our youngest son Corbin, asked, "Mom and Dad, did you choose me or did God choose me for you?" What a priceless question. Our answer to him was, of course, both, but we never knew God would bless us quite as much as he has.
I think so many times we are like that with God, wanting to question our circumstances and surroundings. God knows every step we have taken and will take in the future. We just need to be secure in our walk with him and strive daily to grasp his love for us. He loves us so much that there is no circumstance that we have faced that wasn't planned with a purpose for our lives. So, wherever you find yourselves right now, please rest in knowing that God loves you more than anyone and that you are right where he wants you to be until he opens up the next door for you to walk through. Please keep us in your prayers as we enter this open door of opportunity and ministry in the next few weeks. We thank you for your faithful prayers and support during this summer time tour. Log on to our website www.solidrockresources.com and keep up with where we are at, each week, this summer. Please pray everyday that God will open doors to students hearts and change their lives.
