“Look what the Lord has done.” I find myself frequently singing that tune as the lord proves himself over and over again in our lives and ministry. Again, we had the awesome opportunity to minister to hundreds of young people across Texas, CA., and New Mexico this month. Another reason I rejoice is that God has provided the much needed trailer that we have mentioned in the last few news letters. I know you have been praying and joining your faith with ours that God would meet this need. Now we have the capacity to transport the ministry equipment for our mission trips, Illustrated Drama Presentations and camps. It came just in time as we will use the trailer all through the summer.
We have been planning a great summer as we have been speaking and preparing youth ministries for our AIMexico mission trips, Camp Padre and also different camps across the nation. Please view our website www.solidrockresources.com for ministry updates and a schedule of events.
Our family is really looking forward to some of the ministry opportunities this summer. Carli will be going on one of the AIMexico trips and she is very excited. She is currently trying to learn some Spanish to use on the trip. Carli will turn 11 in June and even though she still seems like our little girl, she really surprises us with her desire to reach out to others and pursue opportunities to minister. She will travel some with Jaroy this summer and have the opportunity to see many different kids from all walks of life. She has already been praying for kids she will meet and for God to use her to make a difference in the life of hurting kids that she will come in contact with. Please keep Carli in your prayers, it’s obvious that she really wants to pursue God’s will for her life and we know this summer will have an impact on her and we pray that before she enters her teenage years that this experience will form an unshakable foundation for her future.
As far as the two “Dennis the Mennis’s” that will be hanging out with mom all summer, maybe we should request prayer for Kim. Cade and Corbin both are up to something all the time. They are two of the cutest boys on earth! At this point they are in the same size clothes and everyone still ask if they are twins. They both have been playing baseball and they really enjoy it. This next school year will be interesting as we will be registering Corbin for kindergarten this week. All three of the kids will be at the same school and I’m not sure this town is ready for that. We are blessed to have three kids that really love each other and they each have so much room in their hearts to love others. Our prayer has always been that as we raise our kids, that they would embrace God’s word and the ministry God has called us to. As his word says in Prov. 22:6, “If you raise a child in the ways of the Lord, he will not depart from it.”
We thank you so much for taking this journey in ministry with us and keeping us in your prayers. Your financial support continues to keep this ministry reaching youth and families for Christ. Pray with us as we prepare for a great harvest, this summer!
