March '07

“In like a lion out like a lamb.” This statement is so true about the month of March. This month has been like a roaring lion of many opportunities to reach and impact students for the kingdom of God. I spoke to the youth ministry majors from Southwestern A/G University and Christ for the Nations Institute about reaching youth with fun, creative and exciting ministry. I also had the great opportunity to speak a “Game Day Challenge” school assembly at Peaster High School as we lead interactive games with the High School students and later spoke truth into their lives on making wise choices in life. I used SAGU students to lead the students in games as the entire student body participated. We also lead the Greater Dallas FCA in activities involving around 500 students. I just returned from speaking a youth retreat at James River A/G in Springfield MO. where I saw God change and transform many lives. I am continually amazed how God uses all our experiences in life to reach our world if we are willing to offer our availability to him. All God’s gifts and talents, he has given me, were used for his glory this past month to reach hundreds of students.

We still need your help in purchasing the trailer we need for this summer’s AIMexico trips, camps, and Illustrated Drama Presentations. We have had some response, but are still short in reaching the funds to purchase this much needed trailer so we can effectively reach lives with the gospel. Will you please consider helping and praying that this desperate need be met before we leave for our summer ministry trips?

Spring is just about here and we are ready for it. Our family is thrilled to be back involved with baseball and softball. Cade was drafted on “The Astros”, a team that has played together for several seasons, and he has done very well. He is well liked by his teammates and coaches. He plays first base and shortstop. Corbin plays T-ball for the Midlothian Bucks. We’re just not sure if he likes to get all decked out in the uniform and tell everyone he plays, or if he just wants to see his friends and goof around in the out field. Last weekend the city had the opening day ceremonies and boy was it a big deal! Both Cade and Corbin got to ride in a parade on a float with their ball teams. Cars and people lined up all over the place to wish all the little leagues a great season. The Mayor threw out the first pitch, then the day was filled with hot dogs, hamburgers, you name it. Corbin’s team had the best float. Their jerseys are grey, white and black camo with “Bucks” on the front. Their float had a big dear stand with antlers and a hunter that was tied up. It stole the show. The bucks kicked off the season with a win 20 to 12. It was a great day for the kids. Carli’s games will start this next week and our schedule will really be full. Thanks for your prayers as we enter this busy spring. We are blessed to have you in our lives and a part of this Ministry. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Yours For Youth,
