August 2003
I have just completed my last camp for the Summer Camp Tour '03. Wow! What a ride! After ten camps and one Mexico Missions trip, I am still alive and not even tired of pizza, yet (Ha). I didn't even get sick from one camp meal (Ha). I am so thankful for the awesome experiences and the powerful move of God on the hundreds of young lives that were changed. I am so grateful that God is using us to reach youth at their most spiritual influencing time of their lives; through camps.
We have received many testimonies through emails and letters from students that were touched by God. One girl named Leeann wrote, “All week at camp, I felt like you were speaking right to me: “Keeping It Real”, forgiving others and forgiving myself. All my life, I've ran from my past, but now it's time to stop and face life head on. It wasn't until camp that I realized just how much I was hurting God and He still loved me!” All the time and effort to speak all the camps is worth that quote. Many hundreds of students went back home changed forever.
Now we focus on the busy Fall schedule. We have many Illustrated Drama Presentations, youth and family crusades, conventions, leadership conferences and school assemblies scheduled. Please keep us in your prayers for God's anointing and strength. Also, as our ministry continues to grow we are in need of much more financial support to meet the administrative demands. Perhaps you know someone who would like to join our support team. Even maybe increasing your monthly support as God leads. We totally live by faith and God keeps confirming the call. However, we need greater financial backing to continue to reach a generation looking for hope. Please be in prayer with us about this situation. We serve a big God and we know he will supply our needs. “Who God calls, He equips.”
Also keep us in your prayers concerning the Dillon Montana school district school assembly discrimination case. I recently flew to Billings, MT.for depositions with the lawyers. The Rutherford Institute said that there should be a ruling within a few months. Please pray that God will direct the Judge's decision on the ruling so we won't have to appeal to the Supreme Court. You can view many articles written about this case from news updates and reports around the country. Just type my name on a search on your computer and download the articles.
We trust that you are all doing well, our gang here is doing great. We are getting back into the swing of school and early bedtime. After the summer we just had, our kids are still adjusting. Carli just loves her new school; it's out in the country right next to the cows. Her first day she was so excited to see all these cows just a few yards from the front doors. Of course that makes it nice for us, I think she'll be up and ready to go every day with no problems, but who would think cows would be the motivation? (Only in our family.)
Thank you so much for all the prayers and support, we love you!
