November 2002

This past month we had the great opportunity to travel, sharing the gospel to students from extreme parts of the nation; Montana, Oregon, Wisconsin, California and parts of Texas. I thank God for the opportunities that have opened for the “Good News” to be shared because of your faithful prayers and support. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak at the Wisconsin / Northern Michigan youth convention, where 120 students gave their hearts to Christ the first night of the convention. In the crowd of 2,300 students, we saw God move on their hearts as they flooded the altars each service. Students sought a deeper commitment to Christ, answering the call of God on their lives. Students told me how their lives had been changed. A few students even told me of plans they had to end their lives, but the life-changing message of hope changed their minds!

I also spoke two youth retreats, one in Portland, Oregon and an other in Yucaipa, California. We witnessed a powerful move of God as students sought God's power for their lives, realizing their value in him to reach their generation. I was able to see the Hollywood area and drive past the mansions of past and present actors and movie stars. I saw the beauty of the Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills, and the multimillion-dollar homes. Our tour guide enthusiastically gave us all the history and facts of the movie star's residences. The thoughts that stood-out in my mind were the stories he told of all the drug overdoses, murders and suicides that happened in the homes and hotels as these particular stars left this earth. All the fame, glory, and money couldn't replace a relationship they were looking for. I felt a great sense of responsibility, but a privilege to have the opportunity to intercept the lies of Satan and give hope to students in the California area. I told students, “Nothing satisfies like a solid relationship with Jesus Christ!”

Thanks for your continued prayers on the Dillon, Montana school assembly discrimination case. www.charismanews.com listed the story in their web news report a couple of weeks ago. You can log on to their site and click on the archived news stories, Oct. 21, 2002, and see the write-up. The Rutherford Institute, representing me, said that the resolution of this first amendment infraction could be a long drawn-out process and go as far as the Supreme Court. Please continue to keep this situation in your prayers, as we stand for Christ.

Our family is doing great and looking forward to the holidays. Your continued prayers and support are always valuable to us, especially this time of year. May God bless you and your family as we team together in reaching more souls for the kingdom of God.

  Yours For Youth,
