October 2002
We’ve had a great harvest the past two months. I had the opportunity to speak nine school assemblies with
follow-up rallies, a series of Illustrated Drama Presentations, youth retreats and a crusade. We also saw 115 salvations in school
follow-up rallies and 175 salvations during an Illustrated Drama Presentation with Gospel Light House Church, Dallas TX. I
partnered with Dawson McAllister last week in Dillon Montana, speaking school assemblies and a follow-up rally with 2,000 in
attendance. Once again 175 young people came forward to accept Christ. Even a Mormon missionary walked to the front and receive
Christ! Another young man received Christ whose brothers had previously committed suicide. The curse of sin was broken as we saw
students surrender to God, in Dillon Montana.
For over a year there had been an attack to not let us come into Dillon to speak in the schools and hold an evening
rally. The Dillon school board had already approved me to speak at the schools. A few weeks ago as a last effort, someone had a
lawyer pull up my web site and claimed that I was going to preach to the students in the assemblies. He took the word
“students” out of context, in my web site, and did their very best to keep me from speaking to students on a secular
topic of choices and decisions. I cannot and do not preach the gospel in the public schools. I can speak a secular “value
laden-deity-free” presentation on choices, anti drug and alcohol presentation and etc.
This certain group of individuals didn't want me to speak in the Dillon schools because of my Christian background
and beliefs and my association with Dawson McAllister. The constitution protects my right of free speech in the schools as long as
my presentation is within the school guidelines. This information spread like wildfire to the Montana area, State newspapers,
television and radio. Even places around the nation picked up on the news through the associated press and national radio stations.
Ten other area schools canceled us from speaking their school assemblies, which had already been approved, based on incorrect
information.
The Rutherford Institute contacted me concerning discrimination violations, just because I am a Christian. I have
enclosed one of many articles from the Dillon Montana Standard newspaper, that explains the process of litigation to inform the
Dillon Independent School District and others involved, on 1st amendment rights. I and anyone else have the right to speak on
issues and not be discriminated because of my Christian beliefs.
I did get to speak to some of the Jr. High and High school students at a location away from the school campuses.
Later that night we experienced why the enemy has tried his best to block us from the Dillon Montana and Beaver Head County
area. With 2000 in attendance at the evening rally and 175 salvations, I can say that the devil's teeth were kicked in that
night. We rejoice in the victory.
Queen Ester in Ester 4:14 was called to deliver for people. She was called into royalty for that purpose. I really
believe God gives us each of us Ester moments in life, to effect destiny. In Matthew 5:13, we are called to be salt and light to
the world. In Palms 11:3, the word says, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” We
call on the name of the Lord. The battle is his. He will deliver us!
There is a major spiritual warfare in this generation today. The enemy doesn't want a Godly influence on our young
people. The effects of the school assemblies being canceled because of my stand for Christ could affect every school assembly
speaker who is a Christian, teachers who are Christians, and anyone else associated with schools that are Christians. God has
called us to “stand-up” for the gospel of Christ and to not back down in pressure.
Please pray that this process of litigation will be very successful as we stand for the principle and rights we
have according to the 1st amendment, to be a Christian and speak in the public schools. This has been done many years ago, but
has been challenged at this time. The Rutherford Institute told me that this is a very pivotal case in protecting all Christians
who deal with and in public schools. John Whitehead, founder and President of the Rutherford Institute, said we must take a firm
stand and not be pushed around just because of our faith.
So I need your prayers and financial support more than ever. This process could be very long and drawn out, and
could go as far as the Supreme Court. There are a lot of expenses involved in litigation processes. I really believe as we team
together, this “destiny moment” will impact this generation greatly. What an awesome opportunity to serve Christ
in this assignment! The Dillon Ministerial Alliance, Dawson McAllister and I want to see that this kind of blatant anti Christian
discrimination never happens again. That's why we must go through the litigation process. Please pray that God guides us through
this process and that his will be done.
Our family has been strong during this time and we appreciate all your prayers! Carli is feeling much better as
many of you know she spent about a week in the hospital with difficulty breathing. The Doctors have still not given her a definite
diagnosis. However we know God has Carli right in his hands and we believe she will not encounter anymore of these attacks. Carli
has a really powerful testimony of God's power touching her in a very unique and special way. In the next week we will have this
testimony posted on our web site. Please take time to hear this story of how God spoke to her and touched her. Carli is 6 and in
the 1st grade, she loves God and her family and friends with all her heart. People are very important to her; even her teachers
at school have recognized her for being so caring for her classmates and others. Her younger brothers, Cade 2 ½ yrs and Corbin,
13 months are just about the same size and they both do their best to keep up with her.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support!
