July / August '08
Wow, where was I? It seems as though I just sent you the June newsletter. Time does fly when you're having fun. What a fun time of awesome ministry we had this summer. It was a fruitful several weeks, with many coming to Christ. I spoke a total of six camps, one youth convention, four AIMexico mission trips, and Camp Padre. I'm continually amazed as God uses this ministry to reach so many lives across America and Mexico. We had so many praise reports, salvations, healings, deliverances, and God's call for students to reach their world.
I remember one particular little boy, that we had prayed for at an AIMexico outreach, earlier in the summer. At the time we prayed, he was in the hospital having open heart surgery. His family had us stand in agreement that God would heal this little boy. As we returned later on another trip this summer, a man began to give a praise report at the end of the crusade. It was the little boys' father. As he spoke, he held up his son. He raised the boys' shirt and you could see the long scar on his chest, from the open heart surgery. It was the same boy we had prayed for earlier in the summer. The man said that God had began healing is son, the moment we prayed, as he was in surgery. He gave God all the glory and we all rejoiced in God's mighty power to heal.
Satan does not like praise reports like this. He will do all he can to steal, kill, and destroy our faith. Later that evening as we were leaving a restaurant, we discovered that one of our vans had been broken into. We had approximately $6000. of ministry equipment stolen (video cameras, I Pods, GPS unit, my cell phone, pass ports, sound board, and etc.) None of the stolen items were recovered. I am in the process of trying to replace the much need equipment. Also, I mentioned in our May newsletter that I had to replace a broken transmission of one of our SAGU student athletes' truck that was pulling our ministry trailer. I was responsible to pay the truck repair, of $1250.00. Even though we had a great summer of miracles, it was a financial costly one. I need to recover from this great loss, totaling over $7,250.00. Would you help us pray that God would bless us with a financial miracle to replace this loss?
It doesn't matter what harm may come our way, either physical or financial; God is bigger. "Greater is he that is in us, than he that is in the world". We know what the enemy means for harm, God makes the situation good. Even though the financial set back, Summer'08 will forever be one of the greatest seasons of our lives, as God used us together to reach his world.
We were unable to send another news letter this summer because of the very busy schedule. This letter represents July and August. Would you please send your financial support for both of these months. We desperately need your financial support and your prayers to fuel this ministry.
As we now enter the Fall season, I am scheduled to speak at many churches and outreaches through out the end of the year. Please pray for God's power and protection as we continue to reach the world for Christ.
