January and February 2010
Where did the decade go? We are now beginning our 11th year in evangelistic ministry. We celebrate the past 10 years of the thousands who have been encouraged, saved and changed through all the ministries of Solid Rock Resources.
We began the year with our 6th annual “Avalanche” Ski Camp. We were in Crested Butte this year. The skiing was great and the evening services were greater. It is amazing to see young people grow close to God at the top of the world in such a beautiful setting of God’s creation.
I then traveled to Pennsylvania, where I spoke the Penn-Del District A/G winter youth camp and the power of God fell. The altars were filled each service as God poured his power on those Northeast students. I will never forget the Saturday night service when most of the students stayed around the altars past midnight. As most of the time, I walked away from that winter camp saying, “I have never experienced God’s power more. In all reality that’s the way it should be. God says that his blessings are new each day and every day should be better than the day before.
We also focus on the future as we prepare for our upcoming AIMexico missions trips, camps, Camp Padre, school assemblies, and youth services. During this time of year I am in Wednesday night youth services speaking to students promoting camps and missions trips. Please pray as youth groups prepare in raising the funds to go and preparation for the ministry ahead. There are some large financial needs in our ministry for these events to happen. We are in desperate need of upgrading and replacing our ministry computer, video projector and replacing worn out equipment we use in camps, missions trips and school assemblies. Please consider helping us and give to this much needed project.
This newsletter covers both January and February. We apologize for not separating the two months, however our schedule in January was extremely hectic. With that said, we would really appreciate it if you would include last month’s support, when you send in this month’s contribution. This ministry really depends on you as supporters to help meet the financial demands each month. Without your support it would not be possible. We are so grateful for you and we cherish your prayers and support. As a family, we have been like many of you, living with very hectic schedules that keep us moving, nonstop. Carli is 13 and involved in everything available at church. She also cheers both for school and for a competitive team. Her life is as full as it can be. We are so proud of her. Cade is 10 and he is counting the days till baseball picks back up. He still promises he will marry his mom, haha. Corbin is now 8 and by far the most studious. He won’t admit it but he loves school. He has decided that he wants to try tennis, so in March he will begin tennis lessons. We will let you know how it goes. We are blessed with three great kids and we know that many of you pray for our family daily and without those prayers things could really be different. Thank you so much for your investment in our family and to our ministry, we would not be able to fulfill this calling without you. We love you.
